Mindful Movement
Movement is medicine. Join me on the mat for traditional hatha vinyasa and yin practices or progressive vinyasa ladder flows that make your whole being dance!
-
I am currently offering 1:1 practices in Nairobi in person or online if you're based anywhere else in the world. Group classes are on hold until I transition out of maternity leave. Please sign up to our newsletter to stay informed about upcoming workshops, events and classes near you.
-
Please schedule a free discovery call so we can get to know each other and decide together if we're a good fit.
-
For new clients seeking 1:1 practices, I offer one personalised programme to get you started with a solid foundation. We will meet 3 days a week every week for a minimum of 3 months. The investment is one payment of 999 GBP for 3 months or 333 GBP monthly instalments with a minimum of 3 months commitment. After 3 months, we can change how often we meet and of course, adjust the fees accordingly.

Breathwork
I guide breathers on bespoke journeys where we work with mental, emotional, spiritual and physical aspects to help release stress, trauma and access greater awareness and other dimensions of the self.
-
Sitting up or lying down, I guide you to use very specific breath techniques with the support of other tools such as music, drums and bodywork. These breath journeys can help us release symptoms of stress, anxiety, uncertainty, fear, PTSD and more.
-
The main breathing technique we use here is the conscious connected breath. While it’s beneficial for most people, we suggest you consult your medical practitioner if you suffer from any serious condition. The breathing technique we use is not advised for:
Cardiovascular disease/heart conditions
Detached retina or glaucoma
Diagnosed brain or abdomen aneurysm
Epilepsy
Diagnosed bipolar or schizophrenia
Uncontrolled diabetes or thyroid conditions
High blood pressure
Delicate Pregnancy
Recent surgery or injury
Please get in touch to discuss alternative breathing methods. -
To start, we work together for 5 sessions that are structured based on your needs. The sessions are typically 90-120 minutes and start with an exercises- usually in writing- before we move on to breathing and then integration and grounding. The 5 sessions are priced at £250. We can agree to continue our sessions past the initial 5 and each would cost £45.

Naturopathy
Naturopathy is a holistic approach to healing that has it's roots in various ancient traditional medical systems. It's based on the believe that the body can heal itself given it is provided with the right conditions to do so. You, yes you, can heal too.

Meet your guide
Hello, I’m Amira!
I am a 30-something year old mama currently living in Nairobi, Kenya. I am a retired architect, yoga and breathwork facilitator, yoga nidra guide, menstrual cycle coach and a student of Naturopathic medicine. In 2011, I found out that I have a back injury that would turn my life upside down, or shall I say downside up?
After undergoing surgery, I spent 3 years struggling to get my health back. I was physically weak and emotionally wrecked. I felt like I had no control over my life. Due to the amount of medication I was on, my digestive system suffered and this meant inefficient nutrient absorption, almost non-existent bowel movement and well, don’t even get me started on my hormones.
I intuitively took up yoga, privately, in the quiet and darkness of my bedroom at 6:00 am every morning. The practice started bringing me strength so fast and within the year, it was working its magic on me beyond the physical practice.
FAQs

My favourite thing about everything I study and practice is that it can all be referred to as the path to health. Different individuals have different needs though and this is what we can help you with. You can get in touch here or go ahead and book a discovery call and we can tailor a program for you that might include one, two or more modalities to suit your needs.
-
Yes, you can. In fact, you probably should! Many people around the world find this practice because they heard it might help them manage their symptoms and they stick to it because it usually helps.
-
Whether you’re new to the practice or a seasoned practitioner, there is no one right way of doing it. If you feel called to join a public class then do it. If you feel intimidated, I would highly recommend you join a beginners course or start a 1:1 practice with the aim of getting you to public classes! If you have a health condition or an injury, I also encourage you to start with 1:1 practice so you can learn to work around your injury or adjust based on your health condition when you start joining public classes.

We’re big on the “leave no one behind policy” so please get in touch if you think 20% off any package will support you.

Guiding families is one of my absolute favourite ways to work and I’ve done a lot of it especially during the COVID years. I am more than happy to do that in person if you are based in Nairobi. For families wanting to practice online, I would need to start with you individually if you have different experiences with yoga and/or different health conditions, and then after the initial 3 months period, we can all practice together. Please do get in touch if you’re a family interested in a personalised plan.
-
While I’m trained to offer modifications for pregnant participants and new mothers, you will probably find more value in practicing with an instructor specialised in Prenatal and/or postpartum yoga (please get in touch if you need recommendations or a referral). If you would like to join one of my public classes, workshops or retreats and unsure if it is right for you, please get in touch and I will offer detailed advice.
